Harrington Historic Attractions

These businesses do not have regular daily hours. These are amazing attractions, but if you want to attend an event or take a tour, please contact them.

The Harrington Opera House first opened in 1904. Through many years, and countless hours of hard work, this beautiful historic brick building has been restored to its original charm. Several times a year the Opera House hosts quilt shows, music performances, rummage sales and other events in the lobby and auditorium. This building is a main cornerstone of Harrington’s Historic Downtown District.

The historic Hotel Lincoln, now officially known as “The Electric Hotel” is a restoration project in process. The owners, Karen and Jerry Allen, look forward to the day when the doors reopen for residents, travelers, and all visitors to Harrington. The Hotel was built in 1901 and completed in January 1902. It closed for business in 1980 and fell into disrepair through lack of habitation. The current owners have been in possession of the Electric Hotel since 2009. In December of 2022, the storefront restoration was completed and is now occupied by the “Mercantile in Harrington” @the.mercantile.in.harrington. The managers suite above it will be completed in early 2023.
The storefront and managers suite restoration were possible in part from funding by the Washington State Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation.  This funding is supported through a grant from the Paul Bruhn Historic Revitalization Subgrant Program provided through the Historic Preservation Fund as administered by the National Park Service (NPS), Department of Interior. The Electric Hotel is on the local, state and National Register of Historic Places and is an important part of rural history, as well as the future of rural economic development in the region. Progress in the Hotel’s development can be followed on Instagram and Facebook pages. Inquiries may be made through those pages or email to:
